Scuba Cat IDC

PADI eLearning Divemaster

Divemaster candidates may now complete a significant portion of their knowledge development online. The online course mirrors the new divemaster manual and DVD and is an optional substitute for these items.

The online portion of the course, PADI Divemaster Online, covers nine topics that prepare you for the practical sessions needed to complete the Divemaster course.

It will mean less theory presentations and more time to concentrate on water work, practical assessments, workshops and other assignments during the Divemaster Course.

The sections you will complete are:

  • Divemaster introduction
  • Supervising Diving Activities
  • Assisting with Student Divers
  • Diver safety and Risk Management
  • Divemaster Conducted Programs
  • Specialised Skills and Activities
  • The Business of Diving and Your Career
  • Awareness of the Dive Environment
  • Dive Theory Review

Once you have enrolled on the DM elearning course, the PADI online learning system will showcase interactive videos, audio, visuals and text that you can take in at your own page.

Short question and answer practices at the end of each section allow you to measure your progress through each part. This is ideal when you need to study a little more to correct something you may have missed. It is also a great way for many different types of learner to adapt to elearning – you can take yourself through the course as quickly or slowly as you wish.

This IDC option attracts a small extra charge, which is paid directly to PADI.
