Scuba Cat IDC

PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Course

Scuba Cat Diving OWSI

If you are already a PADI Assistant Instructor or you are a diving instructor for another agency who now want to join PADI, you can sign up for your PADI OWSI course.

The PADI OWSI course will give you the knowledge you need to teach and manage divers through all courses in an internship. Internships at all levels require an OWSI to effectively instruct students according to the PADI system.

You will become familiar with the system and the diver training programs, as well as best methods to use whilst managing divers.

As an OWSI you can:

You will effectively be able to teach from DSD's to PADI Divemaster courses once you have the certification as a PADI OWSI.

We have found in the past that a lot of newly certified PADI OWSI's are not really happy to do this by them selves yet.

Although this is very normal (first time is always difficult even after great preparation) we understand this is not a very comfortable situation.

That is why we have designed the Work experience program.

Course prerequisites

  • Be at least 18 years old.
